I’d like to answer the seemingly constant assertion about the right to own guns with a clip that holds 10 to 100 bullets to kill innocent people and wildlife:
There will never be a need for guns with magazine clips of 10 or more bullets beyond the military or police. There will never be a need for massive firepower at home or at the deli.
I will always support the right to bear arms. But you people living in the extremist realm of reality love to throw up the U.S. Constitution for legitimacy.
Look at the capability of firearms when the U.S. Constitution was written. It was one musket round per 90 seconds to load, aim and fire. That is, if you were really good at it. The Constitution makes no reference to the right to be armed with a gun with 100 rounds to mow down 20 first- and second-graders with 11 shots per helpless child.
For your John Wayne and Rambo sick mentality, if you are to carry around a clip in your gun with 100 rounds, you should be strictly confined to no more than 3,000 yards, more or less, from your home or the address on file when your gun was purchased.
People who are fervent about massive firepower should join the real Army. Oops, I forgot, the other side has big guns too and you may get shot.
Your massive clip gun lovers love to play soldier in the bush and kill defenseless animals that cannot defend themselves.
People who buy and own gun clips with massive numbers of bullets are really suffering from a lack of self-esteem and a desire to be a Rambo. The gun in their hand fulfills a childhood sick mentality that believes to be a man they must kill and destroy things.
Take two aspirins and call me in the morning.
You always say what the government might do one day -- like taking away your guns or taking over the country or even storming your house -- and you need big guns for self-defense. The government’s guns are a whole lot bigger, better and deadlier.
Well buddy, I have news for you. If the government really wanted you and did attack your home or business with 250 soldiers, you would be dead in 90 seconds or less, but that’s if you didn’t surrender. If the government was going to really get you, it would occur when you are stopped at a traffic light or when you are shopping for groceries. It won't be when you and your wannabe Rambos are target practicing or killing innocent wildlife or sitting around the campfire telling lies about your fake combat experiences.
So keep your 100-round bullet clip guns if you really believe you are safe and can defend yourself and your family for about 90 seconds.
Remember, the federal government is not one man. The government is all of us who collectively voted to elect one man as president and the people can impeach that person without one bullet being fired from a 100-clip firearm.
So you Rambos of the good ol’ US of A, keep your machineguns. No number of bullets could ever give an individual self-esteem and self-confidence.
On second thought, rent the last three Rambo movies, take 10 aspirins together and call me in four days.
